By downloading, installing, or using Duplicate Contacts Cleaner ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Duplicate Contacts Cleaner is a mobile application that helps users identify, merge, and manage duplicate contacts on their Android devices. The App provides tools to scan contacts, detect duplicates, and organize address book entries.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Permissions

To use the App, you must grant necessary permissions, including:

  • READ_CONTACTS: Required to scan for duplicates
  • WRITE_CONTACTS: Required to merge or delete duplicates
  • INTERNET: Required for server-based duplicate detection

3.2 Data Backup

You are responsible for backing up your contacts before using the App. While we take precautions, we are not responsible for any data loss that may occur during the use of the App.

3.3 Appropriate Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Use the App to process contacts without proper authorization

4. Privacy and Data

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We process your contact data temporarily to provide duplicate detection services. Contact data is encrypted during transmission.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate in detecting all duplicates.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • LOSS OF DATA OR CONTACTS
  • LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE
  • BUSINESS INTERRUPTION
  • PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, or if the App is free, zero dollars.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Displaying a notice in the App
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Posting the updated Terms on this website

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
